Kayak - This adventure sport can be done at the following beaches: San Mateo and Santa Marianita, where you can take classes and rent equipment.

Paddle board - You can take classes and practice this sport especially on the beach of San Mateo.

Surf - You can take classes at the El Murcielago, San Mateo and Santa Marianita beaches. For the experienced and professional sufists, the San Lorenzo beach is a must.

Cycling - There are 2 bike paths for cycling: or Manta - Piedra Larga - San Mateo Route or Av. Malecón.

Los Esteros beach and Tarqui

On its shores there are a variety of restaurants where you can choose between striking dishes of typical mantese food, the famous Fried Camotillo standing out among these. In addition to this, close to the restaurants we can find the Seafood Market, in which very early in the morning you can see the "sea men" or "cholos pescadores" making their daily sale of seafood among which we find variety of fish and shellfish. El Murciélago beach

El Murcielago beach is located in the center of the city and is the meeting point for hundreds of people of all ages who come to do various activities every day. You can enjoy banana rides, bay tours and whale watching.

Manta Letters

Located on Avenida Jaime Chávez Gutiérrez, the iconic letters are an obligatory stop for anyone visiting the city. In addition to the word Manta, you can find letters from the Los Esteros, Tarqui, San Mateo, Santa Marianita, Liguiqui and San Lorenzo beaches.

Central Park

This park is one of the busiest in the city, as it is a resting place for its lush trees that provide a fresh atmosphere.

Churches

La Merced Church

Inaugurated in 1918, it is the oldest church in Manta and one of the most visited, its festivities are in the month of September and are celebrated with processions that involve the community.

La Dolorosa Cathedral

This building was built on the remains of the former La Dolorosa Church, which on September 22, 1996 was the exact point where a Million Air company Boeing 707 airplane that was transporting flowers and fish bound for the United States collided. 32 people died in the tragedy and 34 families were affected, in the four blocks affected at the time of impact.
